10/30/2018 Adrienne (Avg: 4.10 Review) - The reef to the left of the marina was full of life. Lots of fish, anemones, sea slugs. (aka Spikey things, squishy things, floaty things, flappy things). Harbour seals are happy to play with you and swim with you. They're interested in what you're doing. Sea Lions were farther out to the middle of the channel and came in when we were in the deeper waters, very curious. The locals said they will chew on your lines or nibble your arms. Diving in a dry suit, I was happy that they weren't *that* interested in us. It was mating season, so also happy they were not *that* interested in us. Fall (late October) there were few boaters, calm sunny warm weather and 20-30ft visibility. We went out an hour after high tide. 2hr after high tide the visibility dropped, and 3 hr after it was clear again. To the right was less vegetation and different animals where you find a clean red rocky bottom with the normal invertebrates. I will definitely come back. It was super fun to interact with the wildlife.

10/15/2012 Barry Allan (Avg: 3.00 Review) - I have a boat in the marina. This is a great dive. Careful as this is a high current area. Dive the slack for Seachelt rapids. If you stay in the marina and you go deep, you will feel the current -- dive the slack! I would gear up on the dock and jump in at the fuel dock. To the right is more rocky and to the left more rolling slope...2 different dives. Finish off by walking up the boat ramp. Nice pub, hot shower, and air station.

03/24/2006 Dan Kjelland (Avg: 4.47 Review) - 80 feet of vis when I dove here. Made two dives, one east of the dock and one west. East dive was shallow with quite a lot of life to see. Saw an octo out in the open. West dive was deeper and a lot more exciting. Sea pens, many feather stars. Look forward to doing the west dive again.

04/24/2003 Elvis Biochem (Avg: 4.00 Review) - I really like this site. It's got tons of life. Lots of tube worms, rose stars, even some colonial ascidians! Be very wary of boats, as the main dock is right there!!! On the bright side, things grow all over the docks. never experienced any strong current although you are near the Skookumchuck Rapids, so beware :) ! My friends do this as a night dive, and they love it. Air fills and pub (I recommend the clam chowder) are right there when you get out of the water...

10/29/2001 Shawn Pedlar (Avg: 4.17 Review) - Great diving with this resort as a base of operations. Visibility was in excess of 100 feet and our night dive was awesome. We had a great dive right below the marina dock and used Sunshine Coast Tours for a dive on the Chaudierre and Skookumchuck Rapids. Bryce really knows his stuff. I highly recommend this place. The pub has great food and the staff is fantastic. The cabins were neat and tidy and warm and comfy with their wood stoves.
