Albert Head Lagoon
|
|
Albert Head Lagoon is another wonderful no-current dive for searching out crabs and skates. This site is really off the beaten path, so bring everything you need for a comfortable day.
Directions: From Victoria Harbor, take the Trans-Canada Highway (1) to the North. In 9km go South on Highway 14 (Old Island Highway). In 4.5km turn left on Metchosin Road and travel for 3.6km until you reach Albert Head Lagoon Regional Park.

06/01/2006 Reed Early (Avg: 2.96 Review) - Great first dive. Really easy parking and entry to the water, with no current. The dive is shallow (< 30') to the rock islands on the right. Some interesting life and dive features. Avoid the kelp beds behind the rocks.
04/23/2004 Anonymous (Avg: 3.72 Review) - Good Dive, abundant Marine life ( Octopus, anemone urchins) with a bottom depth from 20 to 60 feet. Easy shore entry, little current, fair visibility make this an excellent beginner dive or for one who just wants a relaxing dive with a fair bit or marine life
04/09/2003 Geoff (Avg: 3.07 Review) - This is a good site. Lots of debris due to heavy food collecting but as you get further out there are several octopus, fish and other such marine life.
