Overview of Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay

Honduras, Roatan
Caribbean

Home

Half Moon Bay offers something for both snorkelers and divers. The shallower waters of the protected bay makes for a leisurely swim right off the beach, and a more advanced dive can be had around the bend of the bay off the reef's edge. This is also the exit point for the advanced shore dive of the previous site, Sea Grape. Half Moon Bay Cabins also has an excellent restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Directions: In the Eastern side of Half Moon Bay at the far Northwest end of the island.

12/21/2005 Shaun Rost (Avg: 2.95 Review) - OK dive with some fish, lots and lots of coral, large reef, and plant life. Quite a swim to get to the good stuff!

12/27/2004 Brandon (Avg: 4.33 Review) - This was the best snorkeling we have ever seen by far and we've done our fair share: Maui, Cozumel, Cancun, etc.

11/24/2003 Big Al (Avg: 2.36 Review) - Snorkeling only - reef within the bay is pretty much dead - appears to be from pollution.
