St. Croix is the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, (28 miles long, 7 miles wide). It is an island of diversified beauty and has many delightful resorts. Its charm lies in the gently rolling hills, stretches of beaches, and wide variety of landscapes from dry cacti-covered areas to a dense rain forest. Sea life abounds in protected reef waters off beaches and shores. Huge brain corals, sea fans, forests of antler coral, and hundreds of tropical fish species find their home in these waters.
