In the Netherlands there are over 50 fresh water dive sites and 250 saltwater dive sites. The saltwater divesites are all subjected to tidal influence and located in Zeeland. There are two books available about diving in Zeeland.

11/17/2007 Marloes (Avg: 4.05 Review) - Really good visibility in a saltwater lake without currents or tides. No surf, easy shore access and over 30 different dive sites in the Grevelingenmeer. All within 30 minutes driving of each other! Beautiful night diving, and multiple dive centres.
01/02/2007 Jean-Claude Taymans (Avg: 3.24 Review) - The ease of shore entry depends upon the dive spot. There is no current in the Grevelingen and verse Meer, or in the Oostershelde. The Tide and currents are otherwise very strong. The visibility depends upon the season and the wind, but between 0,5 to 10m. The best spots are Wemeldinge, Scharendijke, Den Osse.
