Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Koke'e Park

Koke'e Park is a great public access to a magnificent shelf. This is sometimes used as an exit point from the next dive site, Koko Kai Park. Take Kalanianaole Highway (72) East toward Koko Head. Before heading up the side of Koko Head, turn right on Nawiliwili Street. After .3 miles turn left onto Poipu Drive. Bear right. After .6 miles turn right onto Hanapepe Loop. Take your first right into the public access.

Upon reaching the signs for Koke'e park, you must climb down to the entry point with your gear. You are not allowed to park your car beside the park due to limited space. So, pull up to the park, unload your gear and leave your buddy to watch equipment whilst you find parking. Put on your gear before climbing down (or make several trips). The entry and exits are fairly simple with limited surface swim required. Swim against the current toward Hanauma Bay and you can enjoy the wall and the reef below.
