01/17/2012 Tim C (Avg: 4.21 Review) - Me and my dive buddy dove with Red Sea Dive Safari in the Marsa Shagra village. Back then, the Marsa Alam international airport had not opened yet, so the place was pretty desolate. Soon after it did and I would assume the area became more developed. You can do dives with a truck along the coast, on the house reef or go to one of the reefs off shore. Elphinstone being a top one. The diving was great, we really enjoyed it, reef was in excellent shape. If you are looking for touristy bars in the evening, this might not be your best place. Unless you go to Elphinstone it's unlikely you will see the bigger stuff.
