Submitter Comments:
This dive site has an amazing number of fish in it. Damsels, Parrotfish, doctor fish, barracuda, and a single nurse shark. I spent almost all my time on the ledge right on the shore, which made poor visibility, but it was still a good dive. Just follow one of the ledges for a while and you will see as many tropical fish as anywhere.

Directions:
If you start on I-95 get off on Woolbright Road and go east until you get to A1A turn right, and go about 0.5 miles until you see gulf stream park on the left. It will be about a quarter mile south of Nomad Surf Shop. From the lifeguard tower go south about a hundred feet, and enter there. There is a shallow ledge in about three feet of water, as well as an artificial reef about 150 feet out

10/15/2012 Jarrod De Santis (Avg: 2.54 Review) - I live right next to Gulfstream Park and can tell you it is an ok snorkeling spot, but terrible dive spot. I have snorkeled from Gulfstream to Ocean Ridge for 5 years on a regular basis and see some cool tropical fish, plenty of nurse sharks, the occasional Tarpon, occasional lobster, sea turtles, octopus, snappers, etc. I snorkel the area out of convenience, but it used to be better, and now that I'm a certified diver I really wish there was more to offer. Our local beach and reef area was heavily covered by sand after the county dredged Boynton public beaches and the inlet a few years ago. Unfortunately, we are the ones that got the short end of the stick. You can't even find the boulders that were dumped in the Gulfstream area ~15 years ago.

08/15/2005 Punkerace (Avg: 2.42 Review) - This site's almost a complete waste of time. I went snorkeling there and, for a reef so far out, it was totally disappointing to see nothing but a muddy, slightly rocky bottom.

08/16/2004 Jesse Rorabaugh (Avg: 3.40 Review) - This is a good snorkeling site for someone who wants to see fish. Since it is a very shallow site, max of 12 feet, I wouldn't bother with scuba. It is a site worth seeing, but there are better places in this part of Florida.
