Dove this mid-week in November after a day at Ginnie and Paradise Springs nearby. Nice new road and paved access down to dock. Easy entry. Large, open spring head (57' deep) empties into shallow, wide spring run 300' to Suwannee River. Spring head crystal clear, water temp 72. Tons of large turtles and other fish in spring and run. It's cool to hang at the point where the clear spring water mixes with the very stained, tannic waters of the Suwannee. Remnants of an 1860's paddle wheeler sit in the shallows of the spring run. Just the ribs remain visible. Nice mellow dive for newbies or as a last dive of the day. No one else encountered, but might be jammed with swimmers/divers on a hot summer day. Campground on premises. Nominal park fee charged.
