Sunken Forest
|
|
This is an easy access dive site just South of Odiorne Point State Park. It's an easy dive with easy entry, but you may have to kick out a bit to get some depth.
Directions: North of Rye and just 1.4 mile North of Wallis Sands State Park and on the Southern edge of Odiorne Point State Park.

05/19/2010 Anonymous (Avg: 3.00 Review) - A great place to go to get wet. Work on peak buoyancy or hone in on perfect weight, good place to learn and master navigation, you can't get lost.... It's a cove with seaweed barrier to the ocean... if you want to stay in the cove it's only good 1.5 hrs either side of high tide as there is only 10ft water at high tide. Good for newbie. If all goes wrong ' stand up '. I take my boy here to practice
03/13/2007 Jeremy (Avg: 3.72 Review) - The sunken forest, if you are a good diver, can be a beautiful place to dive. Those who want to go deep may not be happy, but it is a nice dive.
11/21/2005 Daniel Epstein (Avg: 2.05 Review) - The sunken forest was a joke. It was a waste of time and energy.
