08/10/2006 Wahoo's Big Yellow Divemaster Dan (Avg: 3.40 Review) - Cross the causeway onto Long Beach Island, turn right, go south until you reach the southern most end of the developed island. The road dead ends onto a parking lot with restrooms and shower facility. Walk about 25 yards to the jetty, and enter the water on the incoming tide. For better vis, dive early and avoid beach combers and fishermen. This is the last beach before the wildlife sanctuary. You can expect to see cartilagins, assorted stingray, fluke, and array of crabs and crustations. If you're lucky and early enough, you may catch a glimpse of, or have an encounter with, the dolphins that you'll hear chattering around you!
