Rail Road Bridge, Morehead

Submitter Comments:
Located along Hwy. 70 on Radio Island this dive is done at high slack tide. Aquatic life and visibility isn't as great as the jetty, but is a worth while dive. Most don't swim far enough to exceed about 15 fsw of depth.

08/24/2007 Anonymous (Avg: 2.33 Review) - Crap. Vis is terrible, and there is almost non-existent life. The max depth is about 20 feet. Worst dive ever.
07/15/2007 Anonymous (Avg: 2.26 Review) - Cross the bridge to Radio Island and turn left into the pier parking area. The access point is right under the bridge, which parallels the railroad tracks. Max depth is about 20', but it averages around 15 feet. Plenty of Sheephead and urchins, but the vis is not so good - 2 to 3 when I was there. You really need to catch it at high slack to get any enjoyment from this dive. The good side is the ease of access. You can park 50 feet from the entry point. As apposed to the Radio Island jetty, it's a good deal.
