06/14/2005 Ben Hansen (Avg: 2.15 Review) - Close by and OK site for buoyancy practice. Some submerged boats/cars/busses etc. 2 training platforms at 16'. South Quarry max depth 24'. North Quarry max depth 18'. Very low vis when bottom gets kicked up. Dive early or not at all. Decent facilities with air fill on-site.
10/21/2004 Tom Mullins (Avg: 4.17 Review) - A great place to dive. Not deep, but well-maintained and plenty of things to see and play with on the bottom. Lots of life, both plant and animal. Twin Quarries is actually 2 quarries: The main (south) has the most stuff and dressing facilities, the North is a couple of feet deeper and a bit cooler and less viz but a good place to escape when a shop shows up with a dozen students and murks up the south.
07/17/2004 Anonymous (Avg: 2.59 Review) - Good training site!
08/29/2003 Anonymous (Avg: 3.04 Review) - This is a shallow quarry, but the water is warm and it is a great place to practice buoyancy
08/29/2003 Dirk A. Roemmich (Avg: 3.25 Review) - The water it warm, 79 to 85 degrees. it is a good place to practice buoyancy. It is shallow only about 20 to 25 feet deep.
