Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Fort Ross Reef Campground

This site is interesting because the underwater structures further out in the cove house a wide variety of marine life. Definitely a two tank dive spot, so bring a picnic lunch with you! Take Highway 116 off 101 to the town Jenner. Head North for about 12 miles (2 miles South of the Historic Park).

I used to dive here from 1970 to 2000. It is closed most of the time now. A long walk from the road. Between the poachers and city people leaving there garbage, this place is not as good as it used to be. Few abs and fewer fish. If you like kelp, cold water and rocks this is a great place to dive. No cell phone service to call 911. Good luck.
