Review Date AVG ShoreDiving Site 07/20/2005 3.71 Lake Okoboji, Arnolds Park Iowa, USA MidI dove the water pipes at the entrance near "The Inn" hotel. This dive was very enjoyable, but bring a hood. There are two pipes that drop down with the natural contour of the ground. One extends out and drops down. I went to about 61 feet and was cold (didn't have hood), so I surfaced. Overall, the site is great for a new diver. Don't bother diving from the public beach (Terrace Park.) No vegetation, no fish. Watch out for boats!! 07/20/2005 3.73 Vortex Springs Florida, USA EastI loved diving vortex springs. The swim throughs are great for an intermediate diver to experiment with notion of cave diving, and the cavern, the houses and the cave entrance are an adventure for a newer diver. If you are experienced, then get into the cave (they certify cave divers on the site.) I will do my caver certification at vortex for sure. |
