11/28/2003 4.72 The Invisibles Bonaire South, ABC Islands
Two divers with us in Oct 2003 for their first trip to Bonaire felt that out of 16 dives during the week, Invisibles was the best. Entry/exit is not that difficult and navigation is easy due to the sand chute that goes down the wall. It allows you to terrain associate from and to the entry and exit points. A coral island can be found down and out from the wall around 100 ft. This is the only place I have seen this particular type of formation on Bonaire. I highly recommend this dive keeping in mind the really good stuff is fairly deep.

One of my favorites. Dove it twice on this trip. Double reef system with large hard coral formations. Lots of tropicals in and around hard coral formations. Saw several large Angel fish enroute to exit first dive. Bottom between the 2 reefs is sand about 80 to 90 ft deep; makes this dive a good dive when in the mood for easy, relaxing dive. Outstanding dive for beginners and intermediates. Entry and exit was easy. Short swim to drop off from entry point. Easy to find. Parking area close to entry point. Good visibility on both dives.
11/18/2001 3.93 Playa Lagun Curacao, ABC Islands
Playa Lagun is an excellent Shore Dive. Entry is from nice sand beach and is easy in that the bottom upon entry is sand. Surf and currents are minimal. There is shade on part of the beach and there is excellent snorkeling along the cliffs that enclose the bay. The slope is gradual and is almost completely covered with coral. The shallows are very interesting because there are decent sized coral heads with many different types of coral fish. Also, there are sandy spots on the bottom where you can remain stationary and observe the sea life going on around you. Visibility was approximately 80 Feet. It's a short walk from gear up to entry. Playa Lagun is one of the better shore dives I have done.
