We decided to take a drive without our dive gear. All we had was snorkel gear. But we decided to snorkel Manukona. Very easy to get in and out. The vis was down due to a storm. Large chain in the middle of the dock area at about 25 ft.

My wife and I loved this place so much we dove it on two separate days. It was a great place to work out the bugs of our new camera setup. Great sea life, plenty of reef at different depths.

Great site. It was our first dive in Hawaii. The Lava Tube was interesting with plenty of life. The surge however was a bit tiring. Overall, This was a very easy place for beginners.

Beautiful conditions. Visibility was at 20+ ft. The reefs are teaming with life. Octopus, Sea Bass, Garibaldi and Rays. Beach entry was very easy with waves only at 1-2 ft. Count them in fours and wait for the lull. Swim straight out about 100 ft and then at a 45 to the right to catch the reef. Great open "caves". Good dive for Novice as well as seasoned divers. Diving season appears to be back.

Diving Shaws on Aug 31st at 6:30 am Visibility was only 2-5 ft. Temp was 57 degrees. Swells were 2-5 ft with a lot of surge. My wife and I made it out to the reef but the visibility lately has been real bad.
