A fun little dive site. If you can catch it on the right day, passing through the crevice is incredible. However, don't go through if the surge kicks up. The surge can be strong and the vis drops quick so it's just a better idea to turn around and go back the way you came. Don't worry, there is more stuff to see. Plenty of garibaldi, urchin, and mussel shells. Entry and exit is easy if you time the waves.

What a great dive spot! I suppose that's because it's a marine sanctuary, but I was happily impressed. Get there early or there is no parking, and ask the other divers about the conditions. But other than that, this site is an underwater playground. We saw garibaldi, lobsters, a ray, and plenty more. Our plan was just to stay close to the cliffs (about 25-30 feet) so the vis was great and we had plenty to see. Test your navigation skills and try to surface at the beach (here's a hint: look for all the snorkelers).

I've heard Windandsea is supposed to have plenty of animal life, but we must have missed out the day we went. The entry/exit was fairly easy. There were a few rocks but nothing to trip over. We saw plenty of eel grass and some scattered fish. I don't think we made it deep enough to find the really interesting stuff. So here's a tip: stay deeper than 25'.

There were some interesting rocks and reefs to the South, but you have to be at least 20' deep. Be careful of all the lobster traps, but keep your eyes out for the ones who haven't got caught yet. There is a small swim through at the center of the rock structure that is surrounded by all the traps, so look carefully.
