Good dive for beginners and treasure hunters. Lots of stuff on bottom that has washed up from the sea. Best entry is by the rocks on the left of the path. Once entered, swim towards the middle of the canal. About 25 yards out, it drops immediately to about 30 ft. It's better that way than staying close to the rocks where it's shallow. Once out a ways, there are plenty of turtles and other sea life. Good dive with some small vessel wreckage.

Great dive site. Plenty to look at, and lots of caves to explore. Had a great sea turtle come over the edge of a cave and almost land on me. He was very friendly though, as he hung around for a couple minutes about 3 feet away allowing me to take some great pictures. Would highly recommend this site! Best from the boat, but also worth the snorkel from shore.
12/23/2004 3.24 Shark's Cove Oahu, Hawaiian Islands
Would have been a much better site earlier in the year. We dove this the first week in October as the North Shore surge was starting to come in. Vis was cut low and it was difficult to get in. However, there was a lot to see on the bottom. Snorkel out to the middle and then take a heading of North out to the 2nd point on the right. Spend your dive heading back towards the cove. You will be following the shelf. Dive was about 45 feet on average with lots of caves and sealife.
10/04/2004 4.07 Okinawa Area Japan, Pacific
If you dive Okinawa, you must dive Maeda Point. You will have to master the stairs going down to the entry point and a short rock climb, but all is worth it for probably one of the best dive locations in the world. Fish will swarm you and they love Vienna Sausages for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sometimes it will be crowded at the entry because all the Japanese dive here, but once underwater, there's room for everyone. Lots of caverns, caves, tunnels, and anything else you want to swim through. Great visibility makes this an A+ place to dive!!
