I am a Dive Master in Training. I have almost 20 dives at Shark's Cove and still find new things every time I go out. Its a great location for beginning and intro divers. I began diving earlier this year and thanks to the wonders of O'ahu I am making a career of it. Shark's Cove is one of the most interesting sites on island. My company takes students out for skills in the sand area at the entrance of the cove. A must for any type of scuba diver!

Another one of the great sites to take students and intros. Again I have many dives here and can dive the site with my eyes closed- almost. You can see dolphins, turtles, and with a little luck a shark or two. Easy beach entry makes it perfect for those who have trouble lugging gear around. There's a couple of nice swim throughs. Mainly a shallow reef and an artificial reef grown atop the hot water exhaust pipe from the power plant. Good dive.

I snorkel here at least once a week and have dived it twice. Outstanding corals, sea turtles, fish. I've seen all the usual lovely reef fish plus huge manta and spotted eagle rays, many large green turtles, a devil scorpion fish. Crowds and parking can be tough on weekends; go early. Black-sand beach entry is as easy as it gets.
